Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon Akeem Ademola Ige, has assured stakeholders in the industry of renewed commitement that will enhance development of the state tourism sector.
Hon. Ige said on tourism promotion and developmemt, the present government is poised to transform the sector for economic growth and job creation.
He explained that Governor Makinde understands the importance of tourism and has promised that the sector will not suffer neglect under his administration.
“Part of his agenda is to diversify into other sectors that can generate income and jobs for our teeming youths and he said agriculture and creative industy and tourism were his target.”
He maintained that his office will synergise with stakeholders in the sector to enhance rapid development and economic benefit.
“Very soon, we will embark on assessment tour of all the tourism sites in the state to see what we can to do to improve on and bring in private investors for immediate development.
He, however, appealed to the stakeholders in the sector to cooperate with the government with a view to creating an enabling environment for their businesses to thrive.
