Residents of Badari community in the Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, under the aegis of the Badari Future Builders (BFB), have urged community leaders with political influence to impact on the lives of people towards reducing poverty in the state.

In a statement by the chairman of the group, Comrade Rasaq Alabi, the people said political leadership should not be about title, but impact on residents of community.

They appreciated contributions of former special assistant to the governor, as well as aide to former Senate President, Adetula Ebenezer Oyedele, for his commitment to community development and good governance.

The people, in a congratulatory message on the 50th birthday of Oyedele, described him as more than a political figure — he is a beacon of hope, a bridge-builder, and a community leader whose influence is deeply felt across Badari, Ilorin West Local Government and the state.

“Oyedele embodies the rare blend of humility, vision and service that defines true leadership.

“Over the years, he has dedicated his life to uplifting the downtrodden, mentoring youths, and championing policies that bring development closer to the grassroots. He has built a legacy of service that is evident in the massive goodwill and support he enjoys from the people,” they said.

The people also commended Oyedele for his record in community development, youth empowerment, and grassroots politics.

It noted his consistent advocacy for the growth and development of the people during his tenure as a special assistant to the governor of Kwara State, and since he assumed office as the aide to Senator Bukola Saraki.

They described him as “a father figure to many and a political strategist whose counsel has shaped progressive movements across the board”.
