The Lagos State government has sealed Ansar-Ud-deen Mosque and Restoration Centre Global Church in Gbagada over noise pollution and environmental infractions.
This development was disclosed by the Commissioner for Environment in the state, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, via his official X account on Saturday.
The sealing of the religious centers was carried out by the officials of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA).
According to him, the decision to seal up both religious centers was a result of concerns about noise pollution as well as environmental infractions from both worship centers.
Posting images of the sealed religious centers, he captioned, “LASEPA’s enforcement team, led by the GM, Dr. @thetundeajayi, has sealed religious centers due to concerns regarding noise pollution and other environmental infractions.
“This action affects establishments like Ansar-Ud-deen and Restoration Centre Global Church in Gbagada.”
