Kogi Guber: Minister Audu declares end to ethnicity issues

The Minister of Steel Development, Alhaji Shuaibu Audu, has declared an end to ethnicity issues in Kogi State as he advocated for the All Progressive Congress (APC) and development.

The Minister, also the Director-General of the Kogi APC Governorship Campaign Council, made this assertion during the All Progressive Congress (APC) Zonal Campaign Rally in Anyigba, Dekina Local Government Area of the state.

According to him, the Governorship candidate of the party, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, is committed to building upon and consolidating the commendable achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello.

The Minister of Steel Development highlights the non-partisan approach to the Kogi State governorship election, focusing on the “Kogi Agenda.”

He noted that APC emphasises its commitment to the state’s progress, highlighting achievements under Governor Bello’s leadership and unity over ethnic politics.

He also emphasised on Saturday that issues of ethnicity have been completely set aside in Kogi State, particularly concerning the upcoming governorship election scheduled for November 11.

He conveyed that the sole focus of the APC is the “Kogi Agenda.” He added that the party’s candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, is committed to building upon and consolidating the commendable achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello.

“The only agenda for the APC is the Kogi Agenda. The Party has the interest of the entire state at heart. Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has a vision for the development of the entire state. He will build and consolidate on the legacies of Gov. Yahaya Bello.” he said

Audu also highlighted the notable improvements in security, job creation, and agricultural development in Kogi under Governor Bello’s leadership, emphasising the APC’s commitment to expanding agricultural production in Kogi East.

The Minister urged the people to support Alhaji Ododo and the APC, underlining that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is deeply invested in Kogi’s progress by developing Ajaokuta Steel.

He added, “This will provide substantial employment opportunities for the state’s youth. The President has expressed concern about the state and has urged us not to hand it over to a government that lacks vision or to an opposition government. The President is concerned about the state, and we cannot afford to yield a strategic state to the opposition.”
