Kano State Governor, Alhaji Kabir Yusuf, has sworn in Umar Farouk Ibrahim as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), replacing Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, who was recently removed due to health reasons.

The ceremony was conducted in low-key at the Governor’s Office, with the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi, administering the Oath of Office to Ibrahim.

While speaking at the event, Governor Yusuf commended the contributions of the outgoing SSG, Dr. Bichi, and extended his best wishes for a speedy recovery.

He also expressed confidence in Ibrahim’s capabilities, adding that his experience and expertise would be instrumental in advancing the government’s development agenda.

The newly appointed SSG, Umar Farouk Ibrahim, in his speech, pledged to serve the state with dedication and to uphold the principles of good governance.

Alhaji Ibrahim then assured the governor and the people of Kano State of his commitment to ensuring smooth administrative operations and the implementation of government policies.

The appointment comes at a critical time for Kano State, as the government continues its drive towards infrastructural development, economic growth, and improved governance.
