Jaan Roose, the Estonian daredevil from Red Bull, took Lagos by storm in a record-breaking display of slacklining prowess that had the entire city looking up in awe.

Known globally for defying gravity, Roose elevated his adventurous exploits to new heights with the ‘Perfect Lagos Selfie’ slackline project—an unprecedented sporting marvel that unfolded against the backdrop of Nigeria’s vibrant cityscape.

A Skyborne Marvel

Roose, a three-time Slackline World Champion, orchestrated a breathtaking performance that seemed to suspend time itself. Spanning a colossal distance of 350 meters and soaring 60 meters above ground, his highline journey commenced from the Sterling Bank Headquarters in Marina and culminated at the Onome oil rig, painting a vivid silhouette against Lagos’s skyline. His mesmerizing traversal, brushing the clouds above the newly commissioned Blue Line Rail, captured the essence of Lagos’s urban splendor while showcasing his unmatched skill and fearless finesse.

The ‘Perfect Lagos Selfie’: A Sky Canvas

More than a mere high-flying walk, the ‘Perfect Lagos Selfie’ was an artistic spectacle—an intricate dance with the wind and a playful nod to the bustling city beneath.

Following his trailblazing performances in Kenya’s Samburu County and Qatar’s Katara Towers, Roose’s foray into Lagos marked a mesmerizing fusion of artistry and audacity. It stood as a testament to the boundless potential and unwavering determination that fuel extraordinary human achievements.

Catch the Sky Show!

For those who missed witnessing this audacious feat firsthand, fear not! Red Bull Nigeria has immortalized every heart-stopping moment of Roose’s high-altitude adventure on their digital platform. Join the digital audience and immerse yourself in the exhilarating #perfectlagosselfie experience.”
