i-FATOSS committed to quality learning — VC

The Vice Chancellor, i-FATOSS University, Cotonou, Benin Republic, Professor Eze Nwauba has stated that the university is dedicated to quality learning, research and community service.

Nwauba noted that the university, as a Professional University, aspires to become the first Pan-African University to operate in all the nations of Africa with uniform standards and adopt the apprenticeship model approach in the curriculum and instructional pedagogy.

The Vice-Chancellor said this on Saturday during the 7th Convocation/Matriculation ceremony of the university held at the Palais des congres hall, Cotonou, Benin Republic.

While the institution held convocation for 250 students, the matriculation ceremony was held for  320 students.

A keynote speech was delivered by The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, Gregory University, Abia State University, Uwaoma Kalu Uche while the convocation lecture was delivered by the Dean, Faculty of Law, Kwara State University, Professor Amuda Kannike.

Honorary awards were being given to some prominent Nigerians including, Special adviser to the governor of Imo State Vitalis Onuoha, Iyalode of Lagos, Bintu-Fatima Tinubu, Proprietress, Royal Kings International School, Nkpor Anambra state, Mrs Ebugosi Austina, Director, Learning Field International Schools, Onitsha, Anambra State, Kenechukwu Nsofor, Proprietress, Griesfield International School, Onitsha Anambra state, Director, Zest Kids School and zest College Onitsha, Mrs Ajoku Oluchi Victoria and Professorship award conferred on the Director General FAGACE, Benin , Dr Ngueto Yambaye.

”I want to recognize all parents and guardians who are here today to witness this historic event.  Choosing i-FATOSS University as an Institution among other Universities in this country is a clear confirmation of the confidence reposed in us for our academic excellence, known both nationally and internationally.

“My dear students and parents, I would like to assure you all in unequivocal terms that we are determined to uphold, protect and ensure the peaceful stay of all students at i-Fatoss University.

“On quality assurance, our university conducts appraisal exercises on programs, lecturers, staff, dress code, course materials, staff-student ratio, regulatory body’s standards and guidelines. Any gap identified is critically examined and remedial measures are taken.

“i–FATOSS University is currently enjoying accreditation from internationally recognized accreditation bodies, including the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Benin; the National Universities Commission (NUC), and Federal Ministry of Education of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; the California University FCE-Higher Education Accreditation Commission (HEAC),” he said.

Nwauba charged graduates of the institution to use their education to positively impact lives adding that the graduates of the institution should give back to their alma mater.

While addressing the crowd, he urged the newly matriculated students to work hard, stay focused, shun cultism, examination malpractice and drug abuse for them to succeed in their academic pursuits.
