The National President of Foursquare Women International (FWI), Elder Margaret Udoh, has urged Christian women to remain steadfast in their faith and trust in God’s power to overcome every challenge, declaring that the “Finger of God” remains the ultimate source of divine intervention.
Speaking at the just-concluded 2026 FWI June Rally held at the Foursquare Camp, Ajebo, Ogun State, Elder Udoh said the theme of the annual gathering, “The Finger of God,” drawn from Exodus 8:19 and Luke 11:20, reflects God’s sovereign power, divine authority and supernatural intervention in the affairs of humanity.
According to her, the biblical account of the Egyptian magicians acknowledging God’s power demonstrates that there are manifestations that can only be attributed to God.
“The finger of God represents God’s direct intervention in human affairs. It signifies His power to change impossible situations, prevent negative occurrences, open doors that have remained shut and make a way where there seems to be no way,” she said.
She noted that throughout Scripture, the finger of God brought deliverance to the Israelites, wrote the Ten Commandments and authenticated the ministry of Jesus Christ through miracles, signs and wonders.
Urging participants not to be overwhelmed by life’s difficulties, she said believers should focus on the greatness of God rather than the magnitude of their challenges.
“The same finger that parted the Red Sea, healed the sick, raised the dead and delivered the oppressed is still at work today,” she declared, praying for divine intervention in families, careers, health, finances and spiritual lives.
Beyond spiritual exhortation, the FWI President highlighted several humanitarian and empowerment initiatives undertaken by the organisation.
She disclosed that FWI has continued to support missionary activities across various mission fields, provided scholarships for indigent students, funded theological education and ministerial training, supported the Corpers’ Lodge project and extended welfare and medical assistance to women and vulnerable families.

She also revealed that the organisation recently launched a Food Bank initiative through which 1,080 bags of 5kg rice were distributed during the Easter Retreat in Lagos, adding that the programme would be expanded to other regions next year while a new church is being pioneered in the Ajebo District.
A major highlight of this year’s rally was the introduction of a skills acquisition and economic empowerment programme. Elder Udoh disclosed that 25 women benefited from the maiden edition and received starter grants to establish small businesses after completing vocational training.
She further announced that the organisation has commenced plans for the FWI Guest House project aimed at addressing accommodation challenges for women attending programmes at the camp.
The FWI President expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, members of the National Executive Council, the June Rally Planning Committee and women across the country for their commitment to advancing God’s kingdom.
In his goodwill message, the General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, Rev. Dr. Sam Aboyeji, prayed that God would continually strengthen, guide, and enlarge the capacity of the women for greater exploits in His vineyard.
Also speaking, the National Adviser of FWI, Dr. Olabisi Aboyeji, encouraged women to remain focused on God, describing Him as the One who can effortlessly overcome every challenge confronting families.
She likened life’s difficulties to “heavy iron gates,” saying God does not need to exert His full strength to resolve seemingly impossible situations.
Chairperson of the 2026 June Rally, Elder Olabisi Adeniran, described the introduction of the skills acquisition and financial empowerment programme as one of the landmark achievements of this year’s event.
She said 25 women were trained in practical vocational skills, including spice production and Ankara bag making, and each beneficiary received N20,000 as seed capital to establish a business.
“We do not want people to come only for the spiritual aspect of the programme. We want them to leave with practical skills that will benefit them and their families,” she said, expressing confidence that beneficiaries would replicate the knowledge within their communities.
Adeniran also explained that the annual Jesus Walk, introduced during the tenure of former FWI President Rev. Ruth Ayeni, was inspired by the biblical account of the Israelites marching around Jericho before its walls fell. She said participants once again took part in the symbolic prayer walk around the camp.
Despite concerns over insecurity before the event, she said attendance exceeded expectations and the week-long programme was conducted peacefully without incident.
As part of the activities, FWI organised a special appreciation service in honour of its immediate past President, Elder Gbemi Ajayi, who thanked the organisation for the recognition and encouraged members to remain committed to serving God faithfully.
Chairperson of the Appreciation Service Committee, Elder Catherine Daramola, also commended the FWI leadership for entrusting her committee with organising the event.
The rally featured several seminars on family life, health, entrepreneurship, finance and Christian living. Topics included menopause and its treatment, balancing ministry and career, social media and the family, personal finance and wealth transfer, building godly homes, nutrition and healthy living, retirement planning, family planning from a biblical perspective, and women as kingdom builders in the Great Commission.
The week-long programme culminated in the annual Alabaster Celebration, where thousands of women danced, worshipped and offered thanksgiving to God for His protection, provision and faithfulness throughout the church year.
