In the spirit of the Christmas season, the Forum of Nigeria Women in Politics (FONWIP), in collaboration with Foundation Builders, has presented food items to orphans at the Tender Heart Orphanage and Charity Home International, Benin, Edo State.
Leading the presentation, Mrs. Joy Adodo, said the gesture was in keeping with the long-standing tradition of FONWIP to share love and joy with vulnerable children during the festive period.
She said that the president of FONWIP, D’ness Florence Gbinigie, has made it an annual practice to celebrate Christmas with orphans by providing gifts and essential food items.
Mrs. Adodo disclosed that FONWIP’s partners, Apostles Christopher and Lakesha Colander of Kingdom International Ministries, New York, United States of America, also joined in celebrating with the children, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to compassion and humanitarian service.
Commending FONWIP and Foundation Builders for the donation, Mrs. Adodo appreciated the caregivers and management of the orphanage for their dedication to the welfare of the children.
She prayed that God will continue to strengthen them as they carry out their responsibilities.
The children, in return, offered prayers and sang special songs to express gratitude to FONWIP and Foundation Builders for the timely support.
Items presented to the orphanage included bags of rice, beans, corn, red oil, biscuits and other foodstuffs to support the children through the Christmas celebration.
