This regime must be told things frankly and truthfully. The fallacious cause of Boko Haram’s offensive and the idiocy of its viciousness have made their hastened reintegration so damnable and unacceptable. Apart from the danger it poses to the lives of our gallant troops, it is a callous slap to the widows and relatives of their helpless victims, particularly the aid workers’ summary executions/beheadings.
Besides the fervour of reintegration, something more terrifying is the Islamization agenda of the murderers. This lack of discretion will only prolong the war with more lives wasted. The government has gone too far too fast. The government should win the war against Boko Haram, apart from the blood-sucking rapist Fulani herdsmen, bandits and kidnappers first before reintegration of Boko Haram terrorists or deciding whether to reintegrate, jail, or hang them.
Many experienced able bodied military retirees will patriotically volunteer to wade in and end the people’s misery only if the government will listen.
