Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) senatorial candidate for Oyo Central Senatorial District, has joined other dignitaries, political associates, family members and well-wishers to honour the late mother of Barrister Femi Aina, former chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ogun, at her final burial ceremony in Ado-Odo, Ogun.

The solemn ceremony, held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, brought together people from different walks of life to pay their last respects to the deceased and show solidarity with the Aina family during the momentous occasion.

Ajadi’s presence at the burial underscored the importance of compassion, friendship and mutual respect among political leaders, particularly in moments of grief when families need the support and encouragement of friends, associates and members of the wider community.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajadi expressed his condolences to Barrister Femi Aina and the entire family, describing the loss of a mother as a deeply emotional experience that leaves an enduring mark on the lives of her children and loved ones.

He said, “The loss of a mother is a profound experience because mothers occupy a special place in our lives. They nurture us, guide us and make sacrifices that help shape the people we eventually become. Although death is inevitable, the love, values and lessons a mother leaves behind continue to live in the hearts of her children.”

The APM senatorial candidate prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased, asking Almighty God to forgive her shortcomings, grant her eternal rest and comfort everyone mourning her passing. He also prayed that God would give the Aina family the strength, courage and wisdom to bear the loss.

Ajadi further extended his heartfelt wishes to Barrister Aina, encouraging him to draw comfort from the memories of his mother’s love, the values she instilled in the family and the positive impact she made during her lifetime.

He added, “I pray that Almighty God grants our dear Barrister Femi Aina and the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. May the good name, values and legacy of his beloved mother continue to inspire the family, and may God bless him with good health, strength and wisdom to carry forward the responsibilities and aspirations that lie ahead.”

The burial also provided an opportunity for friends, associates and political stakeholders to demonstrate that human relationships and shared values extend beyond political party affiliations. Ajadi’s participation reflected the significance of standing with people during both their joyful and difficult moments.

Barrister Femi Aina, a former NNPP chairman in Ogun State, has been associated with political activities in the state. The final burial of his mother marked an important family occasion, bringing together sympathisers and well-wishers to celebrate her life, honour her memory and support her children and other relatives.

As the family bids a final farewell to their matriarch, prayers and goodwill remain an important source of comfort. The occasion served as a reminder of the enduring place of mothers in family life and the importance of preserving their legacies through love, unity, good character and service to humanity.
