Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has expressed confidence that Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), will win the 2027 general election regardless of the level of support he receives from Igbos.

He made the assertion in a video posted on his official Facebook page on Wednesday.

Fayose also criticised Igbos supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government, describing them as “wicked”.

According to him, no Igbo politician in the last 40 years, apart from the late Biafran leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, has achieved what Obi has accomplished politically.

“Any Igbo man supporting this APC government is a wicked Igbo man. When it comes to politics in Igbo land, in the last 40 years, apart from late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, no other Igbo man has done what Peter Obi has done.

“Any Igbo man that does not support Peter Obi is a wicked and jealous Igbo man. You all should know that with or without you, Obi will still win come January 2027,” he said.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, is seeking the presidency on the platform of the NDC in the 2027 election.
