A group known as Pate Youths Ambassadors Initiatives (PYI), on Sunday, formally adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its candidate under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for a second term in 2027.

The declaration was made by Director-General of PYI, Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan, during a Press conference and inauguration of the Pate Youths Ambassadors Initiatives (PYI) in the 20 LGAs of the State.

According to him, “The Pate Youths Ambassadors Initiatives (PYI) has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for a second term in office following careful evaluation of his leadership, economic reforms, and developmental initiatives.”

The group affirmed that continuity during this critical phase of national transformation will consolidate gains already made in repositioning Nigeria for long-term growth and stability.

He then stated, “As a structured youths movement, PYI pledges unwavering commitment to mobilise grassroots support across all 20 Local Government Areas of Bauchi State, engage in peaceful democratic advocacy, ensure full voter mobilisation for President Tinubu’s re-election, and promote unity, political stability, and national progress.”

The group assured the public that its democratic engagement will reflect discipline, structure, and overwhelming grassroots participation.

PYI expressed confidence that a renewed mandate will further strengthen national unity, economic recovery, and youths empowerment.

PYI also respectfully appealed to President Tinubu and the All-Progressives Congress (APC) leadership to recognise and support Professor Muhammad Ali Pate as a credible and unifying candidate for the Governorship of Bauchi State in the 2027 general elections.

Described as a symbol of competence, inclusiveness, and visionary leadership, Professor Pate’s capacity transcends political divides just as the group strongly believes Bauchi State needs experienced, globally exposed leadership. Professor Pate represents integrity and development-oriented governance, can unite the APC family, and would align Bauchi State with national development goals.

The group stressed, “Just as Nigeria needs continuity nationally, Bauchi State needs transformational leadership at the state level.”

Sani Mohammed Hassan added, “Today is not just a ceremony; it is a defining moment in the political and developmental journey of Bauchi State and Nigeria at large. We are gathered here to formally unveil a structured, disciplined, visionary youths platform known as the Pate Youth Ambassadors Initiatives (PYI). “

He explained, “PYI is a youth-driven political and developmental structure, built around the ideals, vision, and leadership philosophy of Prof

Muhammad Ali Pate, a man whose commitment to public service, development, and human transformation continues to inspire millions across Bauchi State and Nigeria.”

He added, “Our structure is well established and strategically positioned, with Twenty Local Government Coordinators across Bauchi State, Zonal Coordinators representing all Senatorial Zones,

State Executive Members, Ward-level mobilisation leaders and thousands of dedicated youths volunteers across communities.”

The DG added, “This is not just an organisation; it is a movement of enlightened youths, committed to development, unity and political participation.”

“At this juncture, we wish to sincerely appreciate Prof Muhammad Ali Pate for his outstanding contributions to the development of Bauchi State, particularly his unprecedented effort in facilitating employment opportunities for 2,777 Bauchi State youths,” he said.

According to him, “In the history of Bauchi State, there has been no leader who has utilized his position and opportunity to empower such a significant

number of indigenous youths with employment like Professor Pate. These achievements stand as a testament to his commitment to youths empowerment, inclusive and genuine service to humanity.”

PYI further affirmed commitment to peaceful political engagement, democratic values, civic responsibility, mobilisation for development-oriented leadership, unity across ethnic, religious, and political lines, and the advancement of Bauchi State and Nigeria.

The group will continue engaging communities to ensure informed, peaceful, and impactful political participation.

Sani Mohammed Hassan concluded, “This dclaration marks a structured journey of youth participation in governance and national development. PYI calls on all stakeholders, especially youths, to join in building a future defined by unity, and leadership excellence.”

Various speakers at the event stressed the need to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in order to have a balanced political arrangement of power rotation between the South and North.

They argued that since late President Muhammadu Buhari spent 8 years of 2 terms, it is only fair and just to allow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu too to see through his 8 years, 2 terms, before it rotates back to the North.
