“The manner of uncouth remarks by the opposition against the APC-led government at the federal and state levels is uncharitable and amounts to blackmail.”
He urged politicians to focus on presenting their policies and manifestos to the electorate.
“Politicians should focus on informing the electorate about their policies and manifestos to move the country forward.” He said.
Zannan Gwandu accused some opposition members of engaging in blackmail and mudslinging to damage the reputations of those in government.
“In Kebbi, the opposition must take cognisance of the fact that Governor Nasir Idris has performed remarkably well and has earned the confidence of the populace for a second term in 2027.”
He dismissed the opposition’s criticism of the governor, arguing that it would not undermine his administration’s efforts.
“Whatever dark patches they try to paint him with are null and void and inconsequential; such actions only reinforce his resolve to do more in uplifting the living standard of the people,” the APC elder said.
Zannan Gwandu also commended the Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruq Aliyu Yaro, for his financial and material support to residents of the state through economic empowerment and political awareness initiatives.
