Yuletide: Bauchi NSCDC deploy patrol vehicles, personnel to strategic locations

Published by

Bauchi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has strategically deployed patrol vehicles in the state for rapid response in case of emergency during the Yuletide period.

It also deployed a good number of undercover agents who have been mobilised to cover all nooks and crannies where suspected hoodlums normally hibernate during festive periods.

The deployment was contained in a statement by the Command PRO, DSC, Ibrahim Abubakar Gabdo, made available to journalists in Bauchi on Wednesday, stating that the deployment is across strategic locations, infrastructure, and critical national assets across Bauchi State.

While wishing the citizens of the state and the general public a hitched-free yuletide celebration, the state commandant, WO Ilelaboye, called on the citizens and residents of the state to use the period for sober reflection and offer prayers for peace, progress, and the unity of the state and the nation at large.

According to him, “the Christmas season is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ. On this auspicious moment, the State Commandant felicitates all Christians and urges them to be good ambassadors of Jesus Christ and emulate the love of Christ for one another.”

The Commandant equally called on religious leaders, worshippers, and the good people of the state to cooperate with security agencies, as adequate and comprehensive security arrangements are in place to safeguard lives and property.

Furthermore, the state commandant directed all area commanders, tactical commanders, and divisional officers to strategically deploy overt and covert operatives to critical infrastructure, national assets, places of worship, parks, recreational centres, and red spots in order to safeguard lives.

The command therefore enjoined the good people of the state to be law-abiding and peaceful before, during, and after the celebration.
