A social cultural youth group, Alliance of Yoruba Youth Council Worldwide (AYYCW) has congratulated her President , Otunba (Dr) Akande Kazeem, on his honour has Otunba Bobatolu of Orile-Kemta ,Odeda , Ogun state.
The group in a statement signed by their publicity secretary, Oladipo Gbeminiyi, described Akande’s conferment has a mark of his commitment to development of Yoruba race .
According to the statement, the Akande’s fight for unity of Yoruba race has made the chieftancy title well deserved.
The chieftancy title certificate was presented by Ogun traditional ruler, Olu of Orile Kemta , Ogun state , His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr) Ambassador Adetokunbo Tejuosho, on Friday 9th of April, 2021.
The group’s President who is a university don , was conferred with the honour alongside his colleague, Dr Popoola Victor who was conferred as Otunba Bobakeye of Orile-Kemta.
The event was however a well attended ceremony by eminent people on Friday at the monarch’s palace in Odeda , Ogun State.
Oba Tejuosho, in his congratulatory message applauded Akande for his humanitarian and leadership qualities, describing him as a dynamic professional, career builder, fantastic decision maker,, distinguished Information Technologist and marketer whose works transcend the shores of Nigeria and abroad.
He said” l have decided in my capacity as the paramount ruler of Orile Kemta to conferred on you with chieftaincy title Otunba Bobatolu of Orile Kemta, because of your humanitarian and philanthropic gesture of facilitating scholarship scheme worth N7.5million to five eligible youths of Orile Kemta and environs at the ESPAM- Formation University Cotonou in Benin Republic,starting from September 2021.
The traditional ruler finally reteirated his love for culture and educational development of the people,especially the youths in his domain.
Akande, who is also the current Director of International Student Affairs of ESPAM-Formation University Cotonou, Republic of Benin, Co-Founder LEARNRITE Institute of Professional Studies (LIPS), Grand Patron Agbekoya Farmers Society Oyo State and consultant to Association of Grain Processors & Allied Produce Farmers of Nigeria (AGPAN) Oyo State Chapter.Dr Akande is the Past/Charter President, Rotary Club of Ibadan-Challenge, a member of Ibadan Tennis Club and Ibadan Recreation Club.
Speaking at the event Dr Akande , appreciated the monarch for his recognition and conferment as the Otunba Bobatolu of Orile Kemta, while he promised to continue with humanitarian service and dedication to move the Yoruba race forward.
