CO-FOUNDER and Chief Executive Officer of  marketing technology company, Plaqad, Mr. Gbenga Sogbaike said the Lagos-based startup had, in the past  36 months, signed up over 15000 programme members and paid out N200m .

Speaking on the company’s exploits since opening its doors for business,  three years ago,  Sogbaike stated that the company had been able to build a reputation of providing marketers with the people, products and platforms, needed to effectively connect with customers.

Through the online platform,  he  added,  Plaqad  had also facilitated a seamless collaboration between social media influencers, content creators, and owners of media inventories, and brands looking to engage consumers and reach new audiences.

He added that the company, now  strengthened by a community of over 15,000 influencers, creators, and publishers, had successfully placed over 25,000 pieces of contents on social and web platforms across four continents, and directly paid out over 200 million naira ($570,000) on hundreds of campaigns to members.

This, he explained, had effectively helped its programme members monetize their contents, platforms and influences.

The company, he added, had also used technology to solve public relations and marketing challenges, faced by brands.

“By democratising access to the best content creators, influencers and publishers around the world and providing users with the tools to effectively create, track, measure, and optimise their campaigns, we help businesses reach millions of consumers worldwide, irrespective of their size or location,” said  Sogbaike.

He added that with the covid19 pandemic necessitating prolonged social distancing and lockdown measures across the globe, Plaqad, as a digital media technology company, had come to help marketers, influencers, brands and the government  navigate the new reality.
