Wale Akinselure wins maiden edition of Tribune Got Talent

Wale Akinselure of the editorial department (Daily) has emerged winner of the maiden edition of the Tribune Got Talent.

The talent display show, curated by the entertainment desk of daily and weekend titles in collaboration with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Tribune Chapel was held at the Tribune house, Ibadan, on Thursday.

Akinselure was declared winner across three stages after superbly rendering of songs like Asiko laye, Onidodo, You Raise me up and The prayer.

The fun-filled event, supported by Y North, K & Y Unisex Salon and Spa, Ibadan, had in attendance staff of all departments of the Tribune.

In his remark, the winner, Wale Akinselure, expressed gratitude to God for the feat.

He specially appreciated the organisers, co-contestants, staff and management of the Nigerian Tribune for the success of the event.

Bunmi Ishola, also of the editorial department (daily), emerged first runner-up while Famuwagun Temidayo of the auditing department, emerged second runner-up.

The winner, first runner-up and second runner-up got cash prizes of N100,000, N75,000 and N50,000 respectively.

Mr Clement Ekaun of the Human Resources department emerged winner of the food eating challenge, winning a cash price of N10,000.
There were also solo performances by Mrs Oluwatoyin Malik and Rachael Nwaokolo.

The panel of judges included Mr Wale Olapade, Mr Sam Nwaoko, Mrs Yejide Gbenga-Ogundare, Mr Soji Bamikarere, Mrs Modupe George.
