The inaugural Sub-Saharan Africa Business and Investment Summit (SSABIS), a prominent side-event of the 2023 United Nations General Assembly, is set to take place at the renowned Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York, showcasing its elegance and grandeur.
According to the organizers, the conference is scheduled for September 25th and will primarily focus on investment opportunities in the sub-Saharan Africa region. Distinguished government officials from both the United States and Africa, as well as business leaders interested in promoting U.S. investment in Africa, will be in attendance.
Following the summit, there will be an evening dedicated to networking and fostering new business relationships.
Joyce Rogers Halliday, Executive Director of SSABIS, has confirmed that several African presidential and ministerial delegations have already committed to attending the event. Additionally, select U.S. officials from the Department of State, Congress, USAID, and Prosper Africa, along with business leaders from various industries, will be present.
Halliday, who is also the CEO of Chronicles Consulting Group (CCG), the organizers of SSABIS, emphasizes that the summit aims to facilitate deals that benefit both the people of sub-Saharan Africa and American businesses.
“Our programs are innovative, featuring dynamic and practical discussions that revolve around what truly matters – fostering investment in sub-Saharan Africa,” states Halliday.
CCG, a consortium of international trade and investment partners, specializes in promoting trade and attracting foreign direct investment into sub-Saharan Africa. The organization is managed by a team with diverse expertise in areas such as public-private partnerships, global trade facilitation, business development, private equity, government relations, and organizational leadership for civil society.
