Rotary club sensitises traders, donates PPE’s to traders in Ibadan

In a bid to encourage a clean and safe environment, Rotary club of Ibadan-Ologuneru has organised an environmental sanitation and sensitisation programme for traders at Eleyele market Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Thursday.

Speaking with the president of the club, Rotarian Oluwatosin Adejare , explained that the event was organised in celebration of the Rotary club water and sanitation month.

She added that the event involved sanitation and sensitisation of the traders to achieve a clean environment.

She said” We hope to contribute our little quota towards ensuring a clean environment by joining the traders of this market in the sanitation of the market , this is in accordance with Rotary’s month of March theme , “Water and Sanitation”

In the same vein distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE ) and sanitation materials were given to the traders at the market.

Also speaking is the Otun Iyaloja of Eleyele market, Chief Mrs Ramota Aare , appreciates the club for the sanitation , sensitisation to the market traders through distribution of sanitation items.

She however promised to encourage traders of the market on the need to participate more in the sanitation of the market, adding that the executives will ensure the items donated were effeciently used.
