Our aim is to fill vacuum in our educational system — Professor Nwauba

The African Representative of Prowess University, Delaware, USA, Professor Eze Nwauba, who doubles as the Registrar of the Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies (IAMPS), Nigeria, has stated that the aims and objectives of establishing the institute “IAMPS” are to fill the professional vacuum in the educational system and work in partnership with Prowess University to actualise that.

He added that the university was also focused on professionalising learning, which is in tandem with the IAMPS vision.

He added that Nigeria has great potential and should encourage professionalism, adding that IAMPS has partnered with over 50 academic and non-academic institutions and over 100 professionals and more.

Nwauba said this on Saturday during the 9th Annual Leadership Summit/Induction of Doctorate Degree Award Programme of Prowess University held at Julius Berger, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

He further added that it was also aimed at having an indelible mark in Africa and professionalising learning so that the country can have people with intellectual fitness and people with warrants of expertise, not just evidence of completion of learning.

The African representative of Prowess University stated that the institution noted that IAMPS tends to bring learning in line with African culture and African needs.

He further added that one of the partnered academic institutions, the Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies (IAMPS), Nigeria, has successfully trained over 5000 professional business management experts and lots more.

Professor Nwauba hinted that the institute also planned to introduce a vocational skills acquisition programme to the students in a bid to create employment opportunities for them.

While inducting the 33 eminent Nigerians awarded an honorary doctorate degree, Professor Nwauba congratulates the award recipients while noting that they were all selected because of their indelible marks in their various fields of endeavour.

He said, “Today, I am delighted to have this gathering of great men and women in our midst, people who have transversed all sectors of life, people who have made indelible marks in their various fields of endeavours.

We are here to celebrate you today because you are all icons and giants in your various fields of endeavours, You have proof of your worth in your areas and that is why you are seated here today

“We usually have nominations from worthy academia, Journalists, ambassadors, and fellow colleagues on who is who in Nigeria to be honoured and encouraged “, he concluded.
