Published by

Ahead of the Ondo Governorship Election slated for Saturday, the Department of State Services (DSS), on Wednesday, warned potential trouble makers to keep off the state or be ready to face the full wrath of the law.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by the Spokesperson of the Service, Dr Peter Afunanya.

The service assured the public and stakeholders in the election of its preparedness for ensuring a hitch-free exercise

While stating that it would not only partner with sister security agencies but support the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that the election was hitch-free, the service added that it has also enjoined its personnel to remain professional while discharging their duties.

It urged all players in the electoral process to abide by the rules of the game with a strict warning to “persons and groups that may wish to engage in violent activities leading to the breakdown of law and order to desist from such devious plans or be ready to face the full wrath of the law.
