Kogi tribunal verdicts: APC Chairman calls for calm, reveals next plan

The Kogi Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Bello has asked members of the Party to remain calm, assuring that the mandate freely given to the party at the National Assembly Election will be claimed at the Appeal Court.

Alhaji Abdullahi Bello made the disclosure while reacting to the Tribunal Judgment delivered against the party in the East and Central Senatorial District in Lokoja regarding the National Assembly Election held in February 2023.

He urged Sen. Abubakar Ohere and Sen. Jibrin Isah, Senators Representing Kogi Central and East respectively to remain steadfast along with other members of the APC across the State, assuring that the party is working towards reclaiming her mandate.

He expressed shock and worry at the ruling, said it was unfortunate that the facts of the matter pleaded at the Tribunal were not in agreement with the judgment, insisting that the APC thoroughly won the February National Assembly Election.

The APC State Chairman described the judgment of the Tribunal as a miscarriage of Justice, expressed dissatisfaction that the fact of the information presented to the Tribunal was not followed.

While he said the APC is heading to the Appeal Court to challenge the outcome of the Tribunal, the APC Chairman urged supporters of the party across the state, to remain calm and focused as the APC will claim its mandate back.

The APC Chairman maintained that those seeking to steal the mandate freely given to the APC have no mandate to reclaim, assured that the APC will in the end emerge victorious.

He assured that the APC will be presenting superior facts for argument, assured that the matter will be dealt with dispassionately at Appeal Court to prove that the APC overwhelmingly won at the February National Assembly Election.
