Kogi guber: SDP allegations baseless —  Police Commissioner

Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Berthrand Onuoha, has debunked allegations of partiality by the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Governorship candidates, Alhaji Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, against the Command.

CP Onuoha stated this in Lokoja while reacting to questions from newsmen on recent allegations by the SDP of not providing adequate security for its activities.

He said the party is undermining his authority as the Commissioner of Police by not following due process in their request nor honouring a series of invitations by the Police Command .

According to him, his doors are wide open to all political parties who followed due process for security cover during their campaigns and the services of the Nigerian Police is for all.

Speaking on the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state, the CP warned against acts by the political actors capable of breaching the peace of the state.

He called on the people of Kogi State to be vigilant, law abiding and go about their activities lawfully as the State Police Command is recording more successes in its fight against criminal elements.
