Kanye West, US rapper, backs #EndSARS protests

American rapper, Kanye West has joined Nigerians in their demand for an end to police brutality in Nigeria, urging the government to listen to the yearnings of the people.

West in a tweet said “I stand with my Nigerian brothers and sisters to end police brutality, the government must answer to the peoples cries #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria.”

Tribune Online reports that young Nigerians are currently staging coordinated protests across many states of the nation as part of efforts to press the demand for reforms in Nigerian Police, end to police brutality and extortion.
