Kano govt offers automatic employment to best graduating students from Kwankwaso’s school

In order to strengthen the health machinery in Kano, the State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has offered automatic employment to the best graduates of Nafisatu College of Nursing Sciences Kwankwaso, established by the former governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

This is just as the college Provost Hajiya Halima Muhammad Yunusa, has called on the well-to-do in the society to sponsor children of the less privileged to study in medical-related fields for more female health personnel in the state.

However, the state deputy governor, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, who represented Governor Yusuf, made this known while presenting the certificate of practice to 36 nurses of the college who were certified by Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria following successful completion of their studies.

He applauded the foresight of the founder of the college saying it will serve as a citadel that will produce the desired manpower capable of steering the health machinery.

He felicitated the graduates and their parents for enduring the needs of the study.

He then reiterated the commitment of the present administration to accord the desired attention to the health sector for the benefit of the teeming populace of the state.

Also speaking on the occasion, the proprietor of the college, former governor of Kano, Senator Kwankwaso tasked the graduates to be good ambassadors of the College and conduct themselves within the ethics of their profession.

Senator Kwankwaso maintained that with the approval by the Nursing Council for the college to commence two courses of community nursing and community Midwifery in September this year, the metamorphosis will continue till the college attains the status of a medical university.

The college Provost Hajiya Halima Muhammad Yunusa said the recipients of the certificates are the pioneer products of the college who were admitted three years ago and completed their studies triumphantly.

She called on the well-to-do in society to sponsor children of the less privileged to study in the medical-related fields for more female health personnel in the State.
