Ibadan records fifth killing in three weeks

Another killing was recorded in Akinyele local government area of Oyo State, on Wednesday, bringing to five the number of killings recorded in the same area in three weeks.

Wednesday’s incident saw the killing of a woman in her house by yet-to-be-identified persons, at Sasa area of Akinyele LG.

The woman was wait to have been hacked to death while she was washing clothes during the early hours of Wednesday.

Others killed in the same area within three weeks are Barakat Bello, Mujeeb Tirimisiyu, Grace Oshiagwu and Azeezat Shomuyiwa.

The response of the state police public relations officer, Gbenga Fadeyi, was still being awaited at the time of filing this report.
