Nigerian social media (Instagram) star, Thacutegeminme, has revealed that she is commitment to use her modelling career and social media strength to to give a voice to young women so as to take their rightful place in society.
The social media sensation said that she has used her status as a social media celebrity to give a voice to young women who have suffered emotional or mentally in life.
The instagram celebrity, who is currently schooling at the University of Lagos and has a huge followership on Instagram, said that modelling was inborn in her and that it comes naturally to her.
According to Thacutegeminme, “I’ve always loved to be a model, especially a runway model but my height couldn’t get me that cause I’m 5’3 so I just went for face modelling instead, I got interested cause I really like the flashy lifestyles, cameras, photo shoots, looking different all the time and all because as a model, it is like you are a thousand people in one person because you get to change your looks and all and also to increase my self-esteem because I was a really shy person growing up.”
Thacutegeminme disclosed that she has not taken fashion or modelling courses.
The beautiful and petite model, who hinted that she wants to become a globally recognised her passion, added that with the help of social media, she has been able to work with a few international brands.
She disclosed that she desires to own a modelling agency to promote petite models like her and that she trust by God’s grace she will create a platform for short people in the runway industry.
She added that one of the challenges she faces in the industry is being under-paid and not treated appropriately on set, however, asserted that she has the full support of her family in her modeling career.
She lamented that though Nigeria is one of the countries that least pay creative individuals, but urged young people to be resilient and influenced the industry positively.
