How to get rid of kidney stone

Published by

After an episode of an excruciating back pain, I had an Ultrasound which showed that I had a big stone in my Right Kidney. I was asked to go home and drink plenty of water. However, a week after the episode, I am yet to pass the stone. Kindly let me know what to do next.

Drinking water can help flush out your kidneys, as hydration is key for both passing and preventing the formation of kidney stones. Instead of aiming for the typical eight glasses of water per day, strive for at least 12 glasses to speed up the process. It is advisable to see your doctor if the stone is not passed after two weeks of drinking water.
