#EndSARS: Tension as Abuja traders resort to self-help

There is palpable fear at popular Apo market in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, on Tuesday, as traders resorted to self-help after a retinue of cars, shops and houses were burnt by yet-to-be-identified hoodlums on Monday evening.

An eyewitness told Tribune Online that traders, mainly Igbo by tribe, resorted to self-help after alleging that both the security operatives and government failed to come to their aids, hence, the need to protect themselves and property.

It was further gathered that the traders have vowed to do everything within their reach to set ablaze any Keke NAPEP or motorcycle along the route.

It will be recalled that no fewer than six people were said to have died, on Monday, during the invasion of peaceful protest by some miscreants who accosted #EndSARS protesters at Kabusa village junction down to Apo market.
