Speaking on this initiative, The Foundation’s Co-founder, Derek Odaro, popularly known as Dotty, said the event titled ‘Youth Empowerment through Music’ will showcase talented individuals who have promising careers in the music industry.
Odaro stated that the focus is to empower the unprivileged youths with their musical ambitions.
Odaro identified other areas as video directing, dancing, content creation, modelling, digital marketing, DJ, songwriting, guitarist, music production, graphic design, and fashion designer or stylist.
He explained that the music industry created opportunities for modern-day society; Hence, it contributed to youth employment in Nigeria, preventing the youths from committing crime and providing income to their households.
The Co-Founder said the foundation was established with the vision of providing access to quality music education and enrichment programmes for aspiring musicians, regardless of their socioeconomic background.
Odaro, therefore, expressed a firm belief that music has the power to transform lives, foster creativity, and build a sense of unity, adding that they have been working tirelessly to offer various initiatives and resources to nurture musical talent and passion among youth.

“Whether you are a video director, dancer, content creator, model, digital marketer, DJ, songwriter, guitarist, music producer, graphics designer, fashion designer or stylist,
“The music industry has created opportunities for our modern-day society and has contributed to youth employment in Nigeria, preventing the youths from committing crime and providing income to their households.
“The Foundation was established with the vision of providing access to quality music education and enrichment programmes for aspiring musicians, regardless of their socioeconomic background.
“We firmly believe that music has the power to transform lives, foster creativity, and build a sense of unity. With this in mind, we have been working tirelessly to offer various initiatives and resources to nurture musical talent and passion among youth.
“The music industry has contributed to the growth of youth employment and a lower crime rate among youth in Nigeria.
We are proud of our youth, who are globally recognised for their contributions to the industry. Recently, Major Labels announced that they have deprioritized Singing Rappers For Afrobeats and that their focus is now African Artists.” He said.
