CVA 2023: Traditional brands prove mettle as voting continues

THIRTY days after the commencement of voting on the 2023 Consumers Value Awards voting portal for the best value for Money brand in 52 different categories, indications of how the pendulum would  swing, this year, are beginning to emerge.

A statement issued by the Event Planning and Director, Damilola Jimoh, revealed that established brands such as Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, Reload Multivitamin and Mouka Foam, among others have continued to distinguish themselves in the different award categories.

For instance, while Dangote Cement leads the cement category with 50 percent,  another brand in the Dangote portfolio, Dangote Sugar, also  leads its category with 74 percent.  Reload Multivitamin lead multivitamin category with 45 percent and Mouka Form lead mattress category with 72 percent

Speaking on the Awards, the Chief Executive Officer/ Analyst of BrandXchange, Akonte  Ekine  described this year’s edition of the Consumers Value Awards as in top gear, going by the number of respondents to the voting platform, as well as positive comments from regulators such as the Nigeria Communications Commission and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Agency.

He further stated that  consumers will have the opportunity of voting for their preferred brands for a period of two months, with the voting portal  shutting down on 31st July 2023.

The Awards, he stated, provide consumers  the opportunity to validate their experiences with a vote for brands of value which signifies the degree of brand acceptance in the marketplace.

Over 300 brands are listed for voting in fifty-two categories on the voting portals, and the last month of voting has shown the positions of brand performance.
