The COVID-19 pandemic is changing and will continue to change our lives for a long time to come. The way we are used to doing things is being redefined. What we thought we could not do without is now easily dispensed with without batting an eyelid. The things we thought we could never do is being done easily without sweat.
COVID-19 has caused much disruption and many things have had to slow down. Many people seem to have more time in their hands than they used to.
Post COVID-19 life will be completely different from what we have been used to and wisdom demands that we seize the opportunity of the forced slow pace of things to re-strategize and prepare for post COVID-19 life.
“A prudent man foreseeth the evil and hideth himself: but the simple pass on and punished.”Proverbs 22.3
One major thing we need to do at this time is acquire more knowledge. Ew seasos of life will always call for ew knowledge. We cannot afford to enter post COVID-19 life ignorant of certain critical things. At no time in history is ignorance so dangerous and deadly and the panacea for ignorance is knowledge.
“Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives.” James Madison
We must consciously acquire relevant knowledge that will put us at an advantage when the pandemic is over. Entering the post COVID-19 season without adequate knowledge is a luxury we should not afford. We should not enter the post COVID-19 era with the same knowledge we have during the pandemic. If we will excel in the post COVID-19 era we must have the necessary knowledge.
“New knowledge is the most valuable commodity on earth. The more truth we have to work with, the richer we become.” Kurt Vonnegut
The pursuit of knowledge starts with a desire to know. We must desire to add more to what we already know and plan to practice what we know.
“The value of new knowledge is greater to the person who already knows a lot. The more effort you put in, the more you get back per unit of effort. Knowledge violates the law of diminishing returns.” Johnny Uzan
We must accumulate relevant information that will facilitate our progress when we step into the post COVID-19 season. We must shop for and acquire facts, data, ideas and insights that will help us execute our dreams after the pandemic.
Knowledge can be acquired in different ways. Knowledge can be accumulated by education. Due to the pandemic there are so many free online courses offering knowledge in many areas of life. We must take advantage of these opportunities as they might not be available for too long.
