‘Your fight is our fight’, Danish PM tells Ukrainians

Published by

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen visited Kiev on Wednesday, assuring Ukrainians the world was in awe of their “incredible strength” and their “will never to give in” in the face of the full-scale Russian invasion.

“Your fight is our fight,” the Danish leader said in a speech to parliament.

Denmark announced in August it would supply Kiev with 19 F-16 fighter jets, an aircraft Ukraine has long been pressing its Western allies for to improve its air defences.

Ukrainian pilots are currently being trained on the jets in Denmark.

When Mette addressed the jet issue, she was met with applause from lawmakers.
