Lava chocolate cake is dessert that combines the elements of a chocolate cake and it originated from the United States.Its name is derived from the dessert’s liquid chocolate center. If you want to have a quiet, in-house date this season, this recipe is perfect for you. It takes about 45 minutes to prepare from when you start melting your ingredients.

This recipe is for a couple and extra two guests. There is love in the air right?

 

Ingredients

Baking spray

1 stick butter

2 ounces bittersweet chocolate

2 ounces semisweet chocolate

Powdered sugar to taste

2 large eggs

3 egg yolks

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

 

Preparation

Preheat the oven

Spray four custard cups with baking spray and place on a baking sheet.

Melt the butter, bittersweet chocolate and semisweet chocolate in a large bowl on high until the butter is melted, about 1 minute (you can use a microwave).

Set apart in another bowl

Stir in the sugar until well blended

Whisk in the eggs and egg yolks, then add the vanilla for a tastier flavour.

Whisk until chocolate is well melted in the mixture.

Stir in the flour

Divide the mixture among the custard cups.

Place in the custard cups and put them in the oven.

Bake until the sides are firm and the centers are soft, about 10-15 minutes.

Let each stand for 1 minute before you invert the dessert on each plates while warm and serve with ice cream or juice!
