Valentine is a celebration of love and of relationships, and sometimes, it’s just a night to kick back and party with your closest girlfriends.
Being the date night of the year, it is important to feel your sexiest, however, there are some specific looks to avoid such as:
Head-to-toe red
Yes, red is the colour of the day, just please don›t wear them all together. Wearing a red dress, red heels, with a red bag and red accessories will only make you look over-the-top.
A totally sheer top
Your underwear isn’t supposed to be entirely visible to everyone who looks your way, so there is really no need to go too bare. Instead, you can try a cut-out top that will only reveal a bit of your sexy lace bra.
Sweatpants
Even if you are celebrating your valentines day with your date indoors, try and turn it up a little, at least opt for a silk pyjama pants over sweatpants.
Too-high heels
Heels that you can’t walk in will just make you look funny and you might even fall and lose some teeth. So just go for heels you are comfortable in and can walk in.
Too-tight clothing
Yes, you may look hot in tight dresses while standing, have you ever tried to sit down in one of these? Or bend? Try as much as possible to avoid dresses that are too tight so you don’t spend the whole dinner focusing more on how uncomfortable you are than the person sitting across the table from you.
Distracting prints/clothes with slogans
Don’t show up to a date wearing silly or corny outward messages on your shirt and avoid distracting prints as well. These will draw attention away from you.
Too loose clothing
Wearing clothes that are roomy and falling off your body on a date can make you appear sloppy and disinterested in either yourself or the date, or both. It can also make you look like you didn’t put in any effort or just don’t really care. Just wear something that fits and shows off your figure without being too sexual and you’ll make the best impression.
Leggings
Leggings, yoga pants, these are not the right bottoms to wear to a dinner. They are fine for exercise, for running errands or for grabbing coffee with your friends. They are, however, crossed off the date attire list.
Too much perfume
Aromas can be sexy and alluring and can allow your date to remember you, but they can also overwhelm the olfactory sense, so avoid spraying too much perfume.
