We’ll continue to create enabling environment for business activities to thrive — Bauchi Gov

Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has assured that his administration will continue to build a business-friendly environment in the state in order to boost economic growth and development.

The Governor said this while speaking when he commissioned Gwaram and Sons Plaza, a shopping mall with about 200 shops and other facilities in the state capital strategically located on the Yandoka Road.

The commissioning of the multi-million Naira plaza has now boosted business activities in the Bauchi metropolis as the plaza, constructed by Alh Nasiru Sabo Gwaram is expected to accommodate more businesses. 

Bala Mohammed commended the investors for the intervention which he noted is in tandem with his Administration’s blueprint in improving commercial and business activities in the State. 

The Governor also called on people of the State, particularly well-spirited individuals and corporate organizations to emulate the investors by supporting the Government’s business drives for continuous development. 

He added that though the Government has no business aside from protection of lives and properties of the citizens, his administration will continue to create an enabling environment for business activities to thrive. 

He then requested people of the State to continue to support his Administration to succeed in the next 4 years having done the same in the past 4 years. 

The State Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko disclosed that the Governor has given the Ministry a marching order to device a means through which business activities will thrive for economic development and job creation. 

In his remarks, Managing Director of Gwaram and Sons, Alh Nasiru Sabo Gwaram said that the new ultra modern Shopping mall has 198 Shops, a Mosque and conveniences to further boost economic activities of Bauchi State. 

He acknowledged the tremendous support of the Governor towards the success of the project pointing out that small business holders have already occupied shops in the market requesting for continuous support. 

Also speaking, an Elder Statesman and a businessman in the state, Alh Garba Mohammed Noma, lauded Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed’s various developmental strides and initiatives aimed at boosting business activities in the State. 

He then called on the business community to continue to support the Administration as it starts another 4 years journey on 29th May, 2023.

Chairman, Joint Amalgamated Union of Traders and Artisans Association, Alh Abdullah Caps appreciated Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for supporting well spirited individuals to invest in the development of the State.
