The Chief Medical Director(CMD) of the Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti(FTHI), Ido-Osi local government area of Ekiti state, Professor Kunle Ajayi has disclosed that the hospital has concluded plans to run the most affordable and quality medical services in the country.
Ajayi added that the management has procured a set of multi-million equipment into different key departments in the hospital to further enhance efficient and qualitative services to people across the country.
The CMD stated this on Tuesday while coordinating journalists around the newly acquired equipment in the hospital
According to him, the equipment includes; Sysmex 5 parts Hematology Analyzer, Automated Chemistry Analyzer, Automated blood culture Machine and Automated Semen Analyzer.

He disclosed that the equipment had reduced the level of waiting time for laboratory results without compromising standards, assuring, “no doubt the patient will get top-notch care here.”
Professor Ajayi said, “ In spite of the huge investment on these pieces of equipment, the hospital will run the cheapest medical services compared to others in this region and even in the country.
“ The hospital theatre named after one of our deceased staff Tunde Aladesanmi is now a three-star Ultra-Modern Theatre Hospital complex. The edifice now has a refurbished recovery room, theatre manager and Nurse Station.
The CMD further stressed that the hospital would go fully digital in its operation, saying every 21st hospital must embrace Information Technology in meeting the increasing demands of patients.
“We have actually commenced the process for the automation of our processes. Every 21st-century hospital must aspire to automate its system and processes because those who fail to that in the past have been overtaken by events. They became stale and irrelevant to the demands of the time,” he said.
