An Extraordinary highly brilliant Lawyer goes home; Chief Richard Akinjide was lucky to have quality education at a very early age – quality education breeds discipline: discipline breeds character: character breeds hope, and hope never fails. By the time Chief Richard Akinjide’s colleagues in both primary and secondary school were looking for admission to universities, Akinjide had been called to the English Bar in London in 1955.
Most of our politicians of nowadays use impunity to achieve their goals, but our old politicians, including Richard Akinjide, were calm and peaceful. Akinjide did not have any degree in mathematics, but as a brilliant Lawyer, he knew a bit of all subjects. Chief Akinjide used to talk straight, ‘not minding whose ox is gored.’ He was not scared to say his mind whenever he felt strong on any issue.
He was stinkingly rich in integrity, discipline and honesty. He served Nigeria honestly.
