Tinubu warned against political marginalisation

The President-elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been advised to avoid the continuation of the political marginaisation of a section of the country if he wants to run a successful administartion.

A united States-based businessman and one of his staunch supporters, Mr David Adodo, gave the warning while reacting to ongoing tussle in the race for the leadership positions of the National Assembly.

Adodo noted that the President-elect must do all within his reach to avoid political decisions capable of truncating his development agenda for the country. He said the President-elect must embrace all regions in the country irrespective of votes garnered during the elections.

He stated further that:”Elections are over, we must not relive that episode of our lives over again in this dispensation. I believe the Senate Presidency should be zoned to the South-East for fairness, equity and unity of the nation.

“We must as a people do all we can to make every Nigerian feel a sense of belonging. We are all Nigerians, the South-South and Senator Godswill Akpabio should shelve their ambition in the interest of peace, fairness, equity and the unity of our dear country.

“This country has been overly kind and generous to Senator Akpabio. This is the time for him to give back and not take. He should step down and give the South-East a chance for the Senate Presidency.

“The South-South has produced a Vice-President, a President and a Deputy Senate President in the last sixteen years.”

Adodo, concluded that the continuous agitation by Akpabio for the office of the Senate President in my opinion irrespective of the concerns for fairness, equity and the unity of the country is tantamount to greed and must be condemned by all well meaning Nigerians.
