Nigerian music star D’banj has celebrated his longtime friend and collaborator, Don Jazzy, as the two mark two decades in the music industry.

Sharing his appreciation on social media during a meeting where he invited Don Jazzy to his 20 years anniversary, D’banj expressed deep nostalgia and appreciation for Don Jazzy, highlighting the significant impact their partnership has had on his career.

“My journey in music is incomplete without you,” D’banj wrote, eulogising Don Jazzy.

He continued, “My 20-year journey cannot be complete without it’s @DONJAZZY again! Giving him the invite to my anniversary dinner was a moment filled with nostalgia.”

The anniversary dinner, an event commemorating D’banj’s illustrious career, served as a reminder of the duo’s shared history.

Over the years, D’banj and Don Jazzy have been instrumental in shaping the Nigerian music scene, with their collaborations leading to numerous hits and widespread acclaim.

“As we both celebrate 20 years in the industry, I’m reminded of the countless memories and milestones we’ve shared together,” D’banj reflected.

“Here’s to two decades of brotherhood, entertainment, and unwavering support. Love you always, Brother! OooSHeeeee ”

Their partnership, which began in the early 2000s, has been marked by groundbreaking achievements and deep mutual respect.

Don Jazzy, now the founder of Mavin Records, is a renowned producer and co-founder of the defunct Mo’ Hits Records, which played a pivotal role in D’banj’s rise to stardom.
