Senator Yemi Adaramodu, the spokesman of the Senate, recently organised a training and empowerment programme for owners of small and medium-scale enterprises in Ekiti South senatorial district.
The programme aimed to educate and empower these entrepreneurs on the effective use of point-of-sale (PoS) devices to enhance their businesses and generate revenue.
The training, which took place over two days in Ikere-Ekiti, the headquarters of Ikere Local Government Area, was conducted in collaboration with the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA).
Following the training, Senator Adaramodu generously provided over 60 beneficiaries with PoS devices that were preloaded with funds to kickstart their business operations.
In his address, Senator Adaramodu reiterated his dedication to the welfare and progress of the people in the senatorial zone.
He emphasised his commitment to implementing programmes that would significantly benefit constituents and local communities.
As the chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, he expressed his desire to support the growth of SMEs in the region.
Acknowledging the vital role played by small business owners in local economic development, Senator Adaramodu stressed the importance of supporting them to foster socio-economic growth.
He promised to uphold the trust placed in him by the constituents and assured them of effective and impactful representation.
Recalling his past accomplishments during his tenure at the House of Representatives (2019–2023), Senator Adaramodu pledged that the people of Ekiti South senatorial district would witness more dividends of democracy.
He encouraged the beneficiaries and the people of the zone to remain loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) at both the federal and state levels to benefit from policies aimed at improving the economy and positively impacting citizens’ lives.
The chairman of the APC in Ikere LGA, Pastor Kayode, commended Senator Adaramodu for his continued contributions and interventions that have positively affected the lives of the people since his election into the National Assembly.
