A council member of the Ibadan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Mr Segun Bolaji, has emerged as the national coordinator of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA) Youth Entrepreneurs. Bolaji is expected to lead NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs for the next two years, starting from July 19, 2023.
In an interview with the Nigerian Tribune, Bolaji expressed his delight about the appointment and stated that he and his team would strive to ensure that NYE remains a prominent and influential organization. He emphasized that NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs would collaborate with various agencies, embassies, and organizations to conduct training programs aimed at enhancing the capacity of its members and other youths across Nigeria.
Bolaji, who also serves as the Managing Director of S. Adiss Agricultural Engineering Limited, further elaborated on their plans, stating, “We shall embark on trade missions to other countries to establish partnerships between our members and entrepreneurs worldwide. We shall position our entrepreneurs in Nigeria for global competition by exposing them to various international standards such as QMS, FSMS, etc. Additionally, we shall encourage our members to expand their market reach through the AFCFTA, African Free Trade Area.”
He further outlined their initiatives, saying, “NYE shall also be working with some global funding organizations on how we can set up an incubator/accelerator to pull up funds to support our entrepreneurs within Nigeria. We shall organize an International Trade Fair strictly for our youths to showcase their products and services to the entire world.”
Currently, Bolaji serves as the secretary of the Oyo State chapter of the Agricultural Machineries and Equipments Fabricator Association of Nigeria (AMEFAN) and holds the position of National Financial Secretary in the same association. Notably, he is the youngest council member of the Ibadan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).
