Primate of the Church of the Lord Worldwide and the president of the World Council of Churches (WCC) for Africa, Most Reverend Rufus Ositelu, has joined other well-meaning personalities in the world over to congratulate the newly crowned king of the United Kingdom, His Royal Majesty (HRM) King Charles (III) and the Commonwealth realms, just as he wished the new king a peaceful reign.
Ositelu, in a release tagged, “Congrulatory Message to King Charles” made available to Nigerian Tribune by the Director of Communication, Reverend (Mrs) Olubunmi Badejo, extended his greetings and prayers to the new monarch.
“The Church of the Lord Worldwide, the first West church to be established in the United Kingdom with the international headquarters in Ogere-Remo Ogun State, and my humble self with great honour celebrate and congratulate King Charles on the coronation as the new king of the United Kingdom,” the release stated.
The cleric wished the newly crowned king every success in the fulfillment of his noble and important position, adding that the church is committed to praying for a peaceful reign as well as the peace and progress of the United Kingdom.
Ositelu also noted that he was sure that King Charles will fulfill great responsibility with kindness and affection, dedicated to the service of God and humanity.
“I wish you a peaceful reign as our king as you lead our great country to a greater height. The Lord will grant you wisdom, knowledge, and understanding; good health long life, and prosperity of wealth. God save the king,” the release added.
