Oyo lawmaker empowers constituents with tricycles, motorcycles, others

House of Representatives member, representing Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West federal constituency, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide (Odidiomo), has presented empowerment packages worth millions of naira to his constituents.

In a press statement by Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha, the empowerment items included, five tricycles, six motorcycles, and cash support, running into millions of naira.

The exercise is part of activities marking Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide’s one year in office as a second-term federal lawmaker.

Presenting the empowerment package to the beneficiaries, Hon Olajide, said the gesture was aimed at boosting businesses, supporting families, and cushioning the effect of fuel subsidy removal on residents and supporters within the constituency and across the state.

He noted that twenty million naira was disbursed to beneficiaries through a transparent and fair process, noting that the tricycles and motorcycles were provided to support transportation and encourage self-employment in the constituency.

“Today marks a significant milestone in my second term as a federal lawmaker.

“I am delighted to empower my constituents with this package, which I believe will go a long way in boosting businesses, supporting families, and cushioning the effect of fuel subsidy on businesses in our constituency and I want to assure my constituents that I will continue to work tirelessly to attract more developmental projects and empowerment programs to our dear constituency,” he added.

Hon. Olajide stated further that the empowerment program was part of his efforts to fulfill his campaign promises and give back to the community that elected him as their representative.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr Abideen Olutope, who went home with a brand new Tricycle, could not hide joy for the gesture from Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, (Odidiomo), and promised to make good use of the empowerment package.

Mr Olutope also pledged to continue to support Hon. Olajide ‘Odidiomo’ in his political endeavors and pursuits.

While other beneficiaries described the gesture as a testament to Hon. Olajide’s dedication to empowering his constituents, others said his efforts at having positive impact on the lives and welfare of the people of Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency were commendable.
