The Focal Person of NSIP in the State, Hon. Kehinde Ibitoye, made the call at a programme in Osogbo, emphasizing that the review is necessary to increase the budget for each child from N100 due to the current cost of living and to effectively eradicate poverty.

Regarding the implementation of NSIP in Osun State, Ibitoye provided a summary, stating that the NHGSFP covers 1,312 schools and benefits 95,983 pupils. He emphasized that the Social Investment Programme is real, impactful, and contributing to the eradication of poverty in Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.
Ibitoye expressed appreciation to Governor Ademola Adeleke for his support and partnership with the Federal Government in the effective implementation of the programs in Osun State. He also commended the Federal Government and the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development for their efficient implementation.
Regarding the National Youth Employment Program, Ibitoye mentioned that there are 14,600 beneficiaries of the Npower program (batch C) in Osun State.
He also stated that the number of beneficiaries in the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program, which supports poor and vulnerable women in the state, has increased to 15,522. He considered this an achievement and expected more data to be included in the national social register.
