The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi on Wednesday announced his wedding date with a princess from the Bayero dynasty, Princess Firdauz Abdullahi in Kano State.
The monarch who made the announcement via a wedding invitation programme made available hinted that,
the wedding programme would be held at the residence of Madakin Kano, Yola Quarters, Kano on 19th of March, 2022 at 11 am.
He stressed also that, ‘reception strictly for ladies is scheduled to hold at the Palace of Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero dated 19, March 2022 at 4 pm.
It will be recalled that the royal father was said to have sent a letter on February 11th and 12th, 2022 to the Osun State governor, Gboyega Oyetola to seek financial assistance for the programme but the monarch denied knowledge of the circulated letter which he said was not authored through his office.
He spoke through his Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem and maintained that the letter in circulation was the handiwork of
the mischievous people.
Alli argued that there is no marriage that can be too big for Oluwo himself to finance.
