NBA President commiserates with Ikeja branch over death of ex-chair, Farounbi

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Yakubu Maikyau (SAN), has expressed his condolences and sorrow over the passing of Mr. Yinka Farounbi, the former Chairman of the NBA Ikeja Branch.

In a statement released by the National Publicity Secretary of the association, Mr. Akorede Habeeb Lawal, the NBA President described Farounbi as a distinguished lawyer and a true gentleman who earned the respect of many who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mr. Maikyau reflected on Farounbi’s amiable personality and stated that his passing is not only a great loss to his family but also to the legal profession.

The NBA President extended his heartfelt prayers to Farounbi’s family and friends, asking that the Almighty God grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

Yinka Farounbi, who served as the Chairman of the Ikeja branch of the NBA from 2000 to 2016, passed away on Thursday, 12th October, 2023.
