My son who is 3 months old has only one of his two testes in the scrotum. The doctor whom I complained to asked me to wait for some time for the testes to descend but I am worried. Kindly advise.

It is true that an undescended testis may descend spontaneously during the first few months of life. Many experts recommend surgical intervention (orchiopexy) if the testis does not descend after six weeks. When done by an expert, the procedure is safe and highly effective.
