My masturbation problems

I am a student of one of the country’s institutions of higher learning. I have been masturbating for the past one year but I want to stop the habit. Kindly advise me on what to do

Masturbation is “the sexual stimulation of one’s own genitals for sexual arousal or other sexual pleasure, usually to the point of orgasm. The stimulation may involve hands, fingers, everyday objects, sex toys or combinations of these.”

Masturbation continues to be controversial. A certain school of thought considers the act as harmless and sinless, as they feel that practitioners of the act stand no risk of contracting any disease, and are of the opinion that they are in no way committing any sin – not fornication and definitely not adultery. Yet, some other people see it as very harmful and sinful. Whatever may be anyone’s opinion on the matter, one thing that stands out is the fact that addiction to masturbation can be very harmful as your case has now shown. Just like many addictive habits, the more you do it, the more your body craves for more for it until it becomes a life habit. Since you are worried about the act, it means that you are not comfortable with the practice and you need to stop. Keeping yourself busy and away from sexually stimulating visual stimuli such as sexually graphic literature and music as well as developing interests in sports, music, reading and religion have been confirmed as some of the solutions for the problem.
